Thailand is a land of astonishing beauty, fabulous food, and warm welcomes. The cliché that Thailand is The Land of Smiles may sound trite but it is true that the Thai people are welcoming and cheerful, and for the visitor, this makes it wonderfully warm country to visit.
More than a emotionally warm country, it is also a very hot country, particularly in the summer. With spectacular coasts and beaches, it’s a wonderful destination for sun seekers. And with a tropical climate and long coastline, it produces delicious fruit, seafood and spices, which have contributed to the country having one of the world’s finest cuisines.
From the rustic charm of the northern hill tribes, to the modern metropolis of Bangkok, Thailand has plenty of delights to lure tourists, travellers, and expats. But what is it like to stay here? How do you get here, how do you find accommodation, and what will it cost?
